Halloween 2009 in the French Quarter |
Our journey began in September 2004 when we decided to adopt a child from China through Holt International Children's Services in Eugene, Ore. About a year and a half later, in late March 2006, we traveled to China to adopt our daughter, Camryn.
Our experience was such a success, we quickly decided to begin the process for adopting a second child. And in December 2008, we returned on our second adoption trip -- this time for our son, Matthew.
On both trips, I blogged extensively -- sometimes filing updates two, three or more times a day. I wrote about the Chinese culture, our observations of the beautiful country and our experiences as new parents with two beautiful children.
Our family and friends couldn't make the trips, but through this blog they experienced nearly everything we did as it happened. For everyone -- even those who accidentally stumbled on this blog while surfing the Web -- it was an unforgettable experience.
